Tradition Mortgage Blanks Remax Advantage Plus, Moves Into Second Place

In the nightcap of Thursday’s Celly League tripleheader, Tradition Mortgage delivered a dominant performance, shutting out Remax Advantage Plus 4-0 to climb into sole possession of second place in the standings.

For Remax Advantage Plus, the loss marked the end of a tough doubleheader night, as they were forced to play their second game in just a few minutes after falling earlier to MNHockeyTV. The defeat extended Remax’s losing streak to four straight games, with their lone win of the 2025 season still being a 6-0 victory over Tradition Mortgage back in the season’s opening weeks.  

Tradition Mortgage wasted no time setting the tone. Just 1:14 into the game, Lauren Zawoyski (MSU) opened the scoring, finishing a play set up by Avery Achterkirch (BSU). Minutes later, Maddy Christian (PSU) doubled the lead with an assist from Isa Goettl (BSU).

At 6:33 of the first, Addison Andre (Franklin Pierce) added a third goal, with Maiah Aanenson (Franklin Pierce) providing the setup. Tradition took a commanding 3-0 lead into the half.

In the second half, Tradition kept the pressure on and sealed the game with a second goal from Andre at 28:12. Aanenson picked up her second assist of the night, with Suzy Higuchi (Yale) also assisting on the play.

Defensively, Tradition played a disciplined team game, successfully shutting down Delaney Fleming, Remax’s leading scorer from Cornell, who entered the night third in the league in points (4G-5A). Fleming was held off the scoresheet for the first time in several games.

Goaltender Hailey Hansen (MSU was flawless in net, stopping all 25 shots she faced to earn the shutout. The loss dropped Remax Advantage Plus to 1-5 on the season and eliminated them from the playoffs.
