Lake Cowboy Stays Perfect with 5-1 Win Over Remax Advantage Plus

BRAEMAR ARENA, July 15, 2025 – Lake Cowboy continued its dominant start to The Celly League season, improving to 5-0 with a decisive 5-1 victory over Remax Advantage Plus on Tuesday night at Braemar Arena located on historic Ikola Way. 

Coming into the game undefeated and leading the standings, Lake Cowboy wasted little time setting the tone. Ellie Zakrajsheck (UMD) opened the scoring at 17:49 of the first half, tapping in a feed from Rachel Agerter (Assumption) with Maeve Kelly (BU) also picking up an assist. Just 50 seconds into the second half, league scoring leader Katelyn Roberts (PSU) doubled the lead, finishing off a setup from Zakrajsheck and Justina Valentini (Assumption).

Roberts added her second of the game—this time on a penalty shot at 26:44—to give Lake Cowboy a 3-0 cushion. The Penn State standout entered the game leading the league in points and assists and padded both totals with another multi-point night.  The game was crisply played with tempo and plenty of physical action.

Lake Cowboy kept the pressure on as Bella Fanale (UM) made it 4-0 at 14:30 of the second period, and Lola Reid (BU) capped the Cowboy scoring with a goal at 9:13, assisted by Kelly and Taylor Koeppl (St. Anselm)l.

Remax Advantage Plus, looking to bounce back from a slow start to the season, managed to break through late in the second period. Delaney Fleming (Cornell) scored midway through the second  to spoil the shutout bid for Lake Cowboy goaltenders Sedona Blair (UNH) and Layla Hemp (UM), who combined for 19 saves on the night.

Despite the loss, Remax goaltender Zoe Rimstad (Lindenwood) stood tall under heavy fire, stopping 26 of 31 shots as Lake Cowboy outshot Remax 31-19.

This was the second meeting of the season between the two teams; Lake Cowboy narrowly won the first matchup 5-4 but left no doubt in the rematch. With the win, Lake Cowboy remains atop the standings at 5-0, while Remax Advantage Plus falls to 1-4.
