Hepp’s Salt Remains Undefeated Regular Season with 4-0 Statement Win Over Performance Office Papers
Braemar Arena – August 5, 2025
Dangle League powerhouse Hepp’s Salt continued its dominant run with a commanding 4-0 win over Performance Office Papers on Tuesday night at Braemar Arena, closing out their regular season with a perfect 6-0 record.
With the win, Hepp’s Salt sits atop the league standings with 18 points and has clinched the regular season title despite playing fewer games than any other team, entering play on Tuesday night. Their defensive identity remained on full display, anchored once again by goalie Janie McGawn of The Blake School, who earned the shutout.
Hepp’s set the tone early, striking twice in the opening frame. Hadley Bakker (Maple Grove) opened the scoring at 22:10 with assists from Audrey Davis (Edina) and Claire Sommerfeld (Minnetonka). Just three minutes later, Alexa Larson (North Wright County) doubled the lead, finishing off a clean setup from Libby Moe (Edina).
The second half brought more of the same from Hepp’s—steady puck control, relentless forechecking, and airtight goaltending. Sommerfeld netted one of her own at 21:02 off a feed from Grace Bendickson (BSM). Davis added an exclamation point with an empty-net goal in the final minute.
With another flawless outing, McGawn stopped all 18 shots she faced, bringing her season totals to 88 saves on 89 shots for a jaw-dropping .989 save percentage. McGawn’s consistency and poise have been the foundation of Hepp’s Salt’s dominance all season.
Performance Office Papers split goaltending duties between Gianna Marchese (Rosemount) and Vivienne Anderson (Orono) who combined for 18 saves on 22 shots. Despite a solid effort, the offense could not find a way past the wall that was McGawn.
Performance Office Papers (2-5) have now dropped three straight and will await the final playoff seeding after Thursday’s remaining regular season matchups. Meanwhile, Hepp’s Salt enters the postseason as the undisputed favorite, boasting a perfect record and an ironclad defensive unit.
